No Holds Barred

Rules are for Peasants.
The rules are off as tempers fray, A place where only the ruthless play. In normal times there’s laws and such, But the Queen wants gore and wants distrust. So without so much of a fuss, She stamps the deed and removes the cuffs. And now there is but fame and fury, As Champions chase their bloodlust duty

What is the No Holds Barred Championship?

The No Holds Barred Championship (NHB) is a gloves off, bloody, brutal, festival of fighting. Removing a lot of the rules and regulations associated with normal Championships, it is a test format which, if popular, may be repeated again in future. It’s a fun, strategic Championship, but definitely not for the faint of heart.
While a lot of rules and conditions have been removed for the NHB, there are still terms and conditions. It is important that players familiarise themselves with which Tournaments count towards NHB qualification.
NHB Terms and Conditions.

Format

All Champions are eligible for the NHB. Players competing in the NHB need to complete only seven (7) Tournaments to qualify. There are, however, only specific Tournaments which count towards qualifying for both the Free and the Paid sections of the NHB. This means players can compete in other Tournaments, without impacting their NHB qualifying score. It also means players must carefully choose which seven Tournaments to compete in - there is no room for error!
The prizepool is split heavily in favour of the paid section, and Champions can only qualify for one section - if your Champion qualifies for the Paid Semi Finals, they are ineligible to qualify for the Free Semi finals. The Qualifying for the Free format begins after the qualifying for the Paid format is completed.
  • Champions must compete seven eligible Tournaments to qualify
  • Champions can compete as many other types of Tournaments as they like during qualifying
  • Champions may continue to compete in eligible Tournaments after they have reached their seven qualifying Tournaments
  • Only traditional 8-player, top-2 payout Bloodbath Tournaments will count towards qualifying
    • Double ups, regular class Tournaments, conditionals, and 1v1s do not count
    • There are tiered bonus points for entering higher value paid fights to encourage players to fight in higher entry Tournaments

Free Entry

  • Only traditional FREE 8-player, top-2 payout Battle-Class specific Tournaments will count towards qualifying
    • Double ups, regular class Tournaments, conditionals, and 1v1s do not count
    • Champions cannot reach the Semi Finals of the Free Entry Component if they qualify for the Paid Entry section
